Lake Powell

At the first of this month we went to Lake Powell with Casey's whole family. We had so much fun! His family owns a houseboat which makes the trip ten times better! I was a little scared about going this time of year thinking it would be way cold down there, but the weather was perfect till a storm hit the last few days. The water is really warm this time of year so we did a ton of swimming. Brooklyn was an angel the whole trip, even the drive there and back. She absolutely loved the boat rides. It was so cute I don't have a picture of it and the video is on our video camera but she sat next to me and watched Casey wakeboard and she had a huge grin on her face the whole time!

I am so lucky to be a part of this familly!

Brooklyn loves her daddy!

Brooklyn sucking/chewing on Brinley's fingers

Casey bought me and new life jacket so we could match haha

Every time we were on the boat she would fall asleep

Seriously how did I get so lucky?

Ridin with mom on the coldest boat ride ever!

I am so lucky to have married into such a great family! I love every single one of Casey's siblings so much! We all had such a great time and are so grateful to his parents for taking us every year!!

6 Months!

Really 6 months? Wow where has the time gone? I guess time really does fly when your having fun! Brooklyn is getting to be more and more fun! This week we had her 6 month appointment and she is still WAY big for her age! She weighed 18 pounds 12 ounces and is 27 3/4 long. She is in the 95 percentile for her length and weight. So that puts her average for a 10 month old. She is so chunky! But it is so cute! I can't get enough of her fat little legs.

Besides how freakin cute she is, she is also such a happy baby! We seriously cannot get enough of her. She laughs at everything we do and it is so fun!

Some of her favorite things are...

Playing with her toes. This is what she does every time she wakes up and every time she lays down.

She absolutely loves when Casey sings to her and even more when he looks at her while singing!

Brooklyn is such a good eater! She now eats solids 3 times a day and she loves everything she tries! It is so nice she stays so clean while eating because she makes sure to get it all! This is my little brother Bryan feeding her.

She can now sit up all by herself. It is so nice to sit her on the floor and give her some toys and she entertains herself.

She can stand holding herself up but we have to stay right there because she will get tired and just let go.

She also loves taking baths but I don't have an updated picture of it. Its so cute she just sits and splash the entire time.
Casey and I love her so much!! Being a parent is the best thing ever!

Now for and update on Casey and I. Casey has been very busy with work, but has made sure to still save some energy for Brooklyn and I. He is getting sooo excited for hunting season. That is all he can think or talk about. Its so cute he is like a little boy. I haven't been up to much besides being a mom. But I am not complaining one bit. Being a stay at home mom is the best thing ever! I am so lucky to have a husband that supports me and wants me to be at home. I love him so much!

Talk about Growth Spurt!

Yesterday I had to take Brooklyn to the doctors because I thought that she might have reflux but come to find out she picked up a little bug and that is why she is throwing up so much. Its so sad! She is still the best baby even though she is sick. She just wants to be held and she sleeps so much! I thought she slept a lot before but now she sleeps so much. The doctor said she should be getting better in the next few days so I'm just hoping its sooner than later. He gave her a prescription of some acid reducing medicine to help with the throwing up. It seems to be helping so that is good. But the reason for my post was because I was shocked when she got on the scale and weighed a whopping 11.5 POUNDS!!! She is six weeks and weighs 11.5 pounds! I am shocked! Especially because at her 2 weeks she weighed 7.11. I thought maybe she would be around 9 pounds but definitely not 11. I would post pictures of the little chunk but I'm at my moms and don't have any but I will definitely put some up later.

1 Month and doing great!

I officially suck at blogging! I don't know why it is so hard for me but it is. I'm working on it though. Brooklyn turned one month last week, I can't believe how fast time is going! She is starting to not look like a new born anymore which is sad but fun at the same time! She is starting to get soo fat! She is getting some really big cheeks but I love them! I must say that I think I have the BEST baby ever! I hardly ever hear her cry only when she has to get naked to take a bath but even then she only does for a minute till she gets in the water. She is officially on a feeding schedule which is nice it is 12:00, 3:00, 6:oo, 9:00. It looks like at night I get three hours of sleep but I really don't because it still takes her an hour to eat and get back to sleep so we are working on that. She loves to be held and I have started a really bad habit of holding her through her naps during the day because she is so dang cute I can't help it! So now she thinks she needs to be held to sleep. But these last few days I have done really good at not holding her and she is starting to be ok. Casey absolutely loves her! He can't wait till he gets home from work to hold her. He walks in and goes straight to the bathroom to wash his hands and takes her he doesn't even say hi first haha. He has been so awesome helping me. He will stay up till about 1:00 and play xbox with her while I sleep. And on the weekends he gets up every other time so it is really nice! I am absolutely love being a mom! I don't know how people don't enjoy it! I love all the time that I get to spend with her! Its been really fun on the warm days we go on long walks so its nice that there a more warm days now than cold ones. I just got Brooklyn's newborn pictures back and they are so cute! Casey's cousin Brandon took them and he did amazing!!

Brooklyn and her twin cousins.

She loves the bath! Just not the freezing part after you she gets out.

Finally..

Well its about time that I write something on here. I have had this but just haven't found the time to write anything. But now that I am on bed rest I will have plenty of time to update this. I got put on bed rest yesterday. I was at work not really feeling that well and my feet were really swollen so I decided to come home a little early. On the way home I stopped at my parents house to get a book from my mom, when I walked in the door she didn't even say hi just told me to come here because my face looked like I had injected saline in it and she wanted to see if my feet were swollen. So I sat down and lifted up my pants and she said oh my gosh you need to go to the doctor right now! But first she wanted to take my blood pressure, so she took it and it was a little high so she sent me off to the doctor. When I got to the doctor I asked to have a nurse take my blood pressure, she took it three times and said she need to talk to the doctor. She came back and said the doctor needed to see me so we did the regular appointment stuff and he came in and looked at my feet which were now almost all the way purple and took my blood pressure yet again and checked me. I was dialated to a 2 (which I was happy about because last week I was high and tight) and my blood pressure was still through the roof. He then went on to tell me that I was done working and was on bed rest because he wants me to make it to the middle of next week before he has to enduce me. They had to draw my blood (which took me getting poked 6 freaking times before they finally hit a good vein) to find out if I have preeclampsia or toxemia. We will get the results back at tomorrows appointment. I hit 37 weeks this Friday which means the baby is full term and should have no problems when I have to be enduced. Casey wasn't at the appointment and was a little shocked when he heard the news. He was still planning on few more weeks before he is a dad. He told me he is really excited but really nervous. I think we are both feeling the same thing. Anyways I will write tomrrow about how the doctors went.

Here I am at 35 weeks and am even bigger as I approach 37
