11 Months

I write this with a very happy heart, but find that part of me is sad that my baby is growing up so fast! I can't believe that we are quickly approaching little B's 1st birthday. I knew the day would come that I would look at her and realize that she is not a baby anymore, I just didn't think that it would come this soon. It is almost every day that she does something that makes her seem so much bigger. Though she may be growing up, I find myself laughing my head off most of the day. Her little personality is so funny and so cute. She is such a little cheese ball! She has such a big heart and loves everything and everyone. It is hard to tell if she is a mommy's girl or a daddy's girl. She loves us both so much! She can hardly contain her excitement to see us in the morning, we are greeted with the biggest smile while just jumps up and down in her crib. Every morning I wake up to the words "momom" in the sweetest voice. And anytime my phone rings she looks at me and says "dadad" with a little fluctuation in her voice at the end as if she is asking a question. She would rather snuggle or rock with me at night before bed, but she would much rather play with her daddy. Here is a list of Brooklyn's favorite things:

Her "B" or her blanket. She CANNOT sleep with out it. She has to rub the silky edges under her nose before she can fall asleep.
Her binky
Getting rocked before going to sleep
Looking at herself in the mirror
Reading books. She loves when people read to her but if no one is reading to her she will read them to herself.
Climbing the stairs
Brushing her teeth
Dropping things just so she can say "uh oh"
Banging on doors
Listening to Casey play the guitar
Watching Baby Einstein. She gets so excited and does her little "excited dance"
Pulling all the diaper wipes out of the case and ripping them into shreds
Drinking water out of anything but especially her sippy
Taking baths
Taking showers with mom or dad
Her bed. She will not sleep anywhere else
Being chased
Lotion
Pizza
Telling me no all the time
Playing with our cell phones
Walking anywhere and everywhere she can go
Pulling all her toys out of her basket
Pulling clothes out of the laundry basket
Tearing anything she can rip into little shreds
Other little kids and babies
Tags on anything. She likes to rub them between her pointer finger and thumb
Eating whatever you are eating, no matter if she just had her dinner and is full
Watching me vacuum
Going for walks
Being in her stroller
Playing outside
Dogs ( but we will see if she still does because she got bit 2 days ago)
Being tickled
Being swung in a blanket
Johnny Cash (thanks to Casey) She gets SOOO excited when she hears his music. She will stop whatever she is doing and start dancing with the BIGGEST cheesey grin ever!

Food in general
Playing with her toes
Playing the piano

Update

I am loving this new year. It has brought so many new and fun things. One of the things it has brought is "Date Night". Best thing we have ever done! Every Tuesday night we have a date. We switch off every other week, and on our week to plan it we have to plan something that the other person would want to do. So on my weeks I have to plan something Casey would do. It is so nice and refreshing. It makes me stop thinking about myself and what I always want to do and do something for him. I also love that I know every Tuesday it is our night. Sometimes we go out and sometimes we stay home. Depending on what we do is whether Brooklyn is invited or not.

Another thing this year has brought is walking! Brooklyn has been walking for about a week now, maybe a little more. But it so dang cute! She is getting better and better at it each day. The first couple days of walking she would take a few steps and stop and start bouncing or clapping her hands with the biggest grin on her face to show us how excited she was. Now she just tries to goes as fast as she can and ends up eating it.

I can't believe that she is almost 11 months and next month she will be one! It seriously blows me away! Time is going by so fast, but we are trying to enjoy every moment of it! I absolutely love being a stay at home mom. I totally thought I would get bored or would go crazy from being inside all day. But I love it! I love playing with Brooklyn all day. In light of it being the month of love I need to express my love for my entire family! I can't ever thank Casey enough for what he has given Brooklyn and I by having me home all day. I got so lucky when I married him. Not only with him but with his family. I love them so much! He has two older sisters that are the best examples ever!! And such good friends/sisters I could ask for. I also love his brothers and his little sister. I am so grateful for his parents and the way they raised him. I also love my family so much! This past week my baby brother got Baptized and it was so amazing! I can't believe how lucky I am to have grown up with all brothers. I love each and every single one of them. It was hard at times not ever having a "friend" to play with or on family vacations when all we did was "boy" stuff. But that is where my amazing mother came in. She is the best friend I could ever have. The best example to me ever! I love her so much and am so grateful that I am the only girl so I never had to share :D I love my dad so much, you wouldn't believe the example that he is. His family has hated him and rejected him since he was 19 and decided to join the church. It has been nothing but Hell for him. And he has stuck through everything and been an amazing father and example. I will never be able to thank him enough for what he has done for our family.
