Brooklyn update:
This girl never and i mean never stops talking. But I love it! She is starting to put words together and it is so cute to hear. She picks up on everything we say so we have to be super careful what we say around her. Last week we were backing out of Casey's parents driveway and there was some wood in the back of the truck and it shifted and made a loud noise and Brooklyn yelled from the back "Oh Crap!!" Casey and I were laughing so hard. She said it exactly like I say it anytime I drop or spill something. She came to me the other day and she had spilled water all down her and she said to me "uhhh skinker (stinker)" another thing that I say when she spills. She is one smart little girl. Luckily she isn't naughty which is nice. If we tell her don't touch or not to do something, she won't. She is so scared to get in trouble just like her mama. Lately we have the joy of her stalling for bedtime. First she ask where the other parent is and want them to hold her, then we say like 5 prayers because we finish one and go to lay her down and she will fold her arms and say "payer." Then after the fifth time we tell her no more so she will ask for a song, so we sing songs and then she will ask for mommy's bed. Finally we just lay her in her bed and she yells for us for a minute but will eventually fall asleep. Mornings are the best with her. We have no idea where she got it from but she is definitely a morning person. The other morning Casey brought her into our bed and i had my back turned to her and she leaned over me and say "mom i miss you." It melted my heart! She also loves to tell Casey and I "ove eww" (love you). Brooklyn is OBSESSED with Dora! She knows all the songs and sings with the show. She has to watch Dora everyday. We have Dora fruit snacks, underwear (we just started potty training yesterday...so far so good) books, jammies, and a Dora telephone. She knows all the characters names and yells them out every time she sees them.
Nicole update:
I am still doing the same thing everyday being a stay at home mom. And I love it. Sometimes I am not a fan of the chores that go with it mainly laundry, but other than that its great. Last week I was able to have a much needed girls trip after the month of October being all by myself. Casey's mom took all of his sisters and I to Las Vegas. It was such a blast. I had never been there before and neither had my sister-in-law Jordanne so we did a ton of walking. And I was so dumb and didn't take any good shoes to walk in. While we were there we went and saw the Blue Man Group and I loved it!! I have been wanting to see them for soo long. We had amazing seats so that made it even more fun. After the show we went in the lobby to take a picture against a mural on the wall of them and as we were standing there one of the Blue men came and got in the picture and about gave us a heart attack. He snuck around the corner so quietly. Then after that for any of you History channel watchers we went to "Pawn Stars" pawn shop. It was crazy to see it in real life. Casey and I love that show so he was a little jealous we went. It was a good break and we did tons of shopping which felt great!
Casey update:
We can now call him the "Ultimate Hunter" around here. He went on soo many hunts starting in September with an Elk hunt with his buddy Matt. They went every week for it felt like forever and got a great elk right before the deer started. We seriously never saw him. If he wasn't gone hunting he was constantly getting something ready for hunting. I swear he cleaned every gun we own and that his dad owns which is a ton between the two of them. But he had a very successful year, he was able to help Matt get the elk, then he shot a deer, then his little brother shot one, and then his brother-in-law Morgan shot one. He was pretty excited! Now we have 3 new deer skulls laying in the garage because he is cleaning them. And the deep freezer is stacked full of deer, elk, and buffalo meat ( which I hate because I won't eat any of them!) But now that hunting is over we finally get to spend some time together. Casey is doing really good at work and doesn't mind going at all. We love him so much and are very grateful that he works so hard so that I can stay home. Brooklyn loves doing things with Casey and he the same. They always go visit the horses next door a couple times a day.
Brooklyn is so big! And cute! And talking! How fun- You need to learn to love blogging so we can see more of these. And I live in Vegas by the way! If you ever decide to come back down, you have a place to stay. We've been to the Blue Man Group... wasn't sure about it at first, but it ended up being pretty cool.
